Perform a wide variety of duties related to the timely ordering of parts, supplies, and materials.
Major Responsibilities:
- Process orders daily and follow up on open purchase orders
- Verify order acknowledgments and update pricing and ship dates
- Process debit and credit memos; process credit card transactions and cash sales.
- Handle emergency orders for service and sales
- Assure accuracy with vendor invoices
- Negotiate pricing
- Set up new vendors
- Work with the sales and service teams to ensure parts arrive at the requested timeframe
- Order industrial equipment and parts
- Handle duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager
Required Skills:
- Must be highly organized, proactive, and possess strong follow-up and investigative skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and maintain operating knowledge of software system
- Ability to work as a team member
- Friendly business professional manner by telephone and in person
- Great customer service skills
- Some overtime required
